winrar用于解压:老的，网上的，别人的。

解压都支持，包括rar

压缩格式支持7z(suitable for self-use),zip和tar(&bzip2,gzip)

压缩级别也有"store"方式(only archive not pack, very fast)

还可有密码保护(zip和7z)
note:if you need encry, use 7z or rar(using WinRAR), zip is not recommended

基本功能(压缩和解压缩)很稳定
速度和winrar各有千秋。要求速度的话，"Solid block size"选择"Non-solid".
about speed:compression level="store"方式(even in winrar) is most fast
speed of 7z and zip: 7z is 2-3 times faster than zip when I pack the helloworld mirror(about 120M. both using "Store" level)

独特:支持Unicode文件名
如果在简体中文操作系统下压缩一个中文名的文件或目录，然后在非简体中的操作系统解压，文件名或目录名会变成乱码。

差:rar支持可能不全；不支持注释。
此外:同时解大量不同名压缩时和分卷时WINRAR都是很有优势的。如果分卷中有一个卷出了问题，7Zip就会挂，而且7z分卷解压时的名字也不敢恭维
